Roxy is the perfect medium-sized dog for a family who enjoys moderate activity and wants a joyful companion who is always willing to be part of the action. She is not the kind of dog who can simply be left alone in the yard—she definitely wants to be part of the family. At approximately 6–7 years old, Roxy still has plenty of spunk but is also satisfied to relax and chill. She loves everyone, and why wouldn’t everyone love her too? Roxy is great with older children but may be a bit much for younger children because of her enthusiastic kisses. She is crate trained, and her crate is her sleeping space at night, although she is also completely willing to cuddle on a couch or bed. Roxy enjoys meeting and playing with other dogs, but she can initially become overexcited in her eagerness to greet them. She is very food motivated and can easily be redirected with treats.
