Background: Willow and her 10 puppies were part of a large rescue transport operation with Boreal Animal Rescue after being rescued from Grandmother Lake, Saskatchewan. While little is known about Willow's life before rescue, it was clear she had endured a great deal. She and her puppies arrived in care severely malnourished and emaciated, all in need of time, nourishment, and love. Thanks to the dedication of many volunteers and foster homes, Willow and her family safely made their way to their foster in Cochrane, who lovingly cared for them through those critical first weeks. Under her care, Willow and her puppies regained their strength, reached healthy weights, and began the next chapter of their lives.
