He is an incredibly loyal, intelligent, and affectionate dog with his people. He loves his family deeply, is very tuned in, and has a gentle, loving side that really shines once he feels safe and comfortable. Huxley would do best in a rural or acreage setting with space to move and a calm, confident handler who understands protective or guardian-type dogs. He has strong instincts to watch over his environment and his people, which makes him devoted—but also means he can be reactive to unfamiliar people, animals, and activity. Because of this, he is not a fit for a busy neighbourhood or a home with young children or frequent visitors.
